How are these two pictures related?
Thanks to being a religious reader of Boing Boing, I can tell you why a blurry picture of a grazing sheep and a bunch of excited Welsh children are on the same website. I won't spoil the surprise.
I wonder, though...will this be a lucrative business? If so - imagine the spin-offs. Why stop with sheep? I'm thinking of the over-indulgent pet owners out there who will buy anything. Or overindulgent parents who love everything about their young offspring. Celebrities selling their wares on eBay? Ew. (or should I say, ewe)

Anniversary Sentimentality and Go-Tarts
Barbara and I celebrated our two-year wedding anniversary this evening at a quiet Cambridge restraurant called Aspasia. The food was delicious, and even after many years, the company was divine. I feel that the longer we spend together, the better we communicate; I truly believe we can get through anything.
On a far less sentimental note, I consumed a Kellogg's "Go-Tart" today. I didn't purchase it - it came to me for free in a promotional Amazon.com package. What a strange concept - who really needs Pop Tarts to be even more mobile and accessible? Isn't that the purpose of Pop Tarts in the first place?

For those times when Pop Tarts just aren't convenient.

Weekend in Maine
Barbara and I left for Islesboro on Thursday for a relaxing long weekend in Maine. The weather, so far, has been beautiful. I slept for nearly 12 hours on Friday (!). We took Philip's new powerboat out to get gas yesterday, and had some hands-on time controlling the boat. Dudley and Susu (sp?) Weld joined us for dinner on the porch in the evening. Philip and Elaine surprised us with a freshly baked version of our wedding cake from nearly two years ago - coconut cake with a lime custard-like layer. Elaine snuck back to the mainland yesterday to pick it up from the caterer. It was a very nice surprise, and was fitting considering our wedding on Islesboro two years ago. (which doesn't actually seem all that long ago)

Back to blogging?
Sooo...it's a new academic year, I'm in a new house, and even my mother-in-law has her own blog. I think it's time that I come back to the world of blogging after a 2-year hiatus.
Barbara and I have been starting to do some home improvement. A new dishwasher is nearly installed, and we've been working on painting the living room for 2 days. It took both of us nearly 8 hours yesterday to prime the room, probably because of all the windows. Tonight, we did most of the trim with a first coat of paint, though three windows are still undone. This project may be neverending.
I returned to school for the first of three in-service days. Lots of new tech toys to play with - I'm looking forward to it.

Oberlin Graduation
So - I was wrong about Ohio. In fact, I'm eager to go back. Henry's graduation was great, especially the dinner we enjoyed at the Baricelli Inn, where we enjoyed a fantastic meal. I'll try and write more about the weekend soon - I'm rushing out for my father's birthday party (we're going on a duck tour). My point is that I'd like to go back to Cleveland to explore the Lake Erie area and check out the sixteen roller coasters at Cedar Point.
